Welcome Back to School: Planting a Garden of Leaders

Dear Country Hills Elementary Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am so excited to welcome our students, families, and staff back for another incredible year. As we begin this new school year, we are proud to share that we continue to be an “A” school, a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our entire school community.

This year, our school theme is Planting a Garden of Leaders. Just as a garden needs care, patience, strong roots, and sunshine to grow, our students need encouragement, meaningful learning experiences, and opportunities to lead. Together, we will nurture each child’s strengths, help them grow in confidence, and celebrate the unique gifts they bring to our school community.

We are especially excited to begin implementing Leader in Me throughout our school. Leader in Me supports the belief that every child has leadership potential and that leadership is not just about having a title—it is about making positive choices, taking responsibility, setting goals, working well with others, and contributing to the success of the community. Through classroom lessons, school-wide routines, student leadership opportunities, and a shared language around the 7 Habits, our students will learn how to lead themselves and inspire others.

As we plant this garden of leaders, we will focus on building strong character, developing student voice, promoting responsibility, and creating a positive school culture where every student feels valued and empowered. Our teachers and staff are committed to cultivating classrooms where students are encouraged to think critically, solve problems, collaborate, and take ownership of their learning.

Families play an important role in helping our students grow. We look forward to partnering with you as we continue to provide a high-quality educational experience and help our Panthers develop the academic, social, and leadership skills they need to thrive. Your support, involvement, and encouragement make a lasting difference.

I am grateful and excited to kick off the 2026–2027 school year with each of you. Together, we will continue to grow excellence, leadership, and success at Country Hills Elementary.
